- Resolved Question: Is it normal to not "see" a fetal heartbeat at approximately 7 weeks?
(Tue, 03 Jul 2007 17:31:30 GMT)
17 week old fetus : I had a vaginal ultrasound done today and the doctor thought I was about 9 weeks along based on my dates, etc. However, the fetus is measuring at about 7 weeks and she couldn't see the heartbeat. She suggested we try again in a week or two. Is this normal? We have a 17 month old now and with him, they didn't even do my first ultrasound until I was 12 weeks along. Is it too early to see a heartbeat?

17 week old fetus : It is a tricky one, not meant to be a pro/anti abortion question, rather a legal one. How is a fetus considered to be a part of someones body ? For one thing, it contains genetic material from another person. Doesn't this make it its own body ? Which just happens to be relying on its host ? Consider this: abortion is allowed to 18 weeks. A surrogate is implanted with a viable fetus, with no binding legal agreement. The fetus grows to be the equivalent of 17 weeks old. She decides to have an ab
- Resolved Question: Does the woman REALLY have a choice?
(Tue, 23 May 2006 22:50:43 GMT)
17 week old fetus : I've just finished reading an article about a woman who's 17 week old fetus was deliberatley killed during an attack. Since the pregnancy was only in its early stages it wasn't concidered murder. The mother was planning on staying to full term. What I would like to know is if the woman really has a choice over what's going on in her body or not. If she can decide that a fetus is not a living part of her, than shouldn't she be given the right to choose when it is?
