24 week fetus : Where i am from the latest you can have an abortion is 12 weeks and i was shocked to see it was 24 weeks here...i now they are talking about lowering the time limit now, what do you think is the appropriate time? I am not out to judge anyone, i have had an abortion years ago myself when very young but i have a daughter now and there is no way i want an abortion after seeing what happens to a fetus every week and especially not at 24 weeks when the fetus is a 'human'... I am just interested in
- Resolved Question: Glucose intolerance/self testing until Thursday?
(Mon, 08 Oct 2007 17:53:22 GMT)
24 week fetus : I'm 27 weeks pregnant, but the fetus is growing at an abnormal weight. I had my routine glucose tolerance test last week, and will be going to my ob/gyn Thursday to review the results. However, I've been feeling "off" lately, & some of the symptoms has been similar to gestational diabetes. I bought a glucometer and have been checking my sugar for the past few days. I intend to give the results to my doctor, but wanted to get some opinions in the mean time. I've suspected G.D., and have made

- Resolved Question: can a 22 week old fetus survive?
(Wed, 15 Aug 2007 21:02:10 GMT)
24 week fetus : my cousin just found out today that she has a tumor the size of a golf ball inside her falopian tube. She is 24 weeks pregnant. the dr. told her that if she does the surgery, there is a chance that the baby will die. and, if she does not have the surgery, it could burst and kill her. she is torn and i am wondering if at 24 weeks (6 months) what would be the probability of her having a c section and the baby surviving? Anyone been through something like this? she has a medical card and i just d
- Resolved Question: miscarriages?
(Fri, 03 Aug 2007 00:16:54 GMT)
24 week fetus : I just recently lost my baby (fetus). My doctor told me to wait for nature to take it's coarse, not to have the d and c. He recommend that I wait for my next gyn appointment and if it hasn't happened by then, then I should proceed with the d and c. My next appointment is August 24. Why would he want me to carry a deceased fetus for 4 weeks, if it doesn't happen naturally? I don't understand why a doctor would want that for a patient, and live through that kind of emotional pain, watching t

- Resolved Question: When are most babies born?
(Wed, 18 Jul 2007 02:25:09 GMT)
24 week fetus : I have been doing ALOT of reading on EDD's and ultrasounds for better predicting age of a fetus. My question is this...my LMP was 11-13-2006, first ultrasound at 9 weeks 3 days on Jan 18th, 20 week ultrasound on April 2nd, 24 week ultrasound on April 30th. All have a due date of August 20th. Is it most likely my baby will be born within 3-5 days of this date as the early ultrasound states? I am just getting really nervous not knowing when my baby will be here!
- Resolved Question: Early Ultrasound Accuracy (Moms/professionals only please)?
(Tue, 17 Jul 2007 17:51:01 GMT)
24 week fetus : Can someone please tell me how accurate the ten week sonogram is in predicting due dates? I was told that these early U/S's are + or - around 4 days. If my 10 week U/S told me, based on the CRL that I was 10w3d and according to my calculations that was right on, what are the chances that it could actually be a 14 weeks old fetus? I should add this: I had an U/S at 6 weeks, 20weeks, 24 weeks, 34 weeks and they are all accurate according to my calculations give or take a weeks or so...but not
- Resolved Question: Politics. Partial Birth Abortion, does the majority of the public know what that means?
(Sat, 30 Jun 2007 06:34:04 GMT)
24 week fetus : Hi everyone. Sometimes you hear people calmly speaking about their "20 week abortion" or some other persons "24 week abortion". I have to wonder if these people really know what happened during that procedure. I am guessing most people think of it like getting their tonsils removed, nothing too big or significant. But I personally know that 20 week babies have been born and lived to live normal lives, (ofcourse most have some disabitities like blindness from prematurity). So if a baby can live

- Resolved Question: how do I get my day in Court?
(Mon, 25 Jun 2007 14:36:59 GMT)
24 week fetus : To whom it may concern: I would like to open an case concerning the Death of our new born son on July 16th 2000. in this case I have investigated the records and all the alligations of the findings and all the answers given by depatment of Health and others that determined that there was nothing that could be done However I feel that this issue is not done and will not be done until the people and hospital is displined in a manner to not allow them to do this to another patent again. (Thu, 14 Jun 2007 23:51:51 GMT)
24 week fetus : I am 34 weeks pregnant and I have 2 fibroid tumors inside of me, one was the size of a 20 weeks fetus the last time he checked when I was around 27 weeks. No one thinks that I am going to make it to the due date of 7/24/07. The baby is measuring normal and she is 5 pounds. I do have a short cervix I was also told. Has anyone else experienced this?

- Resolved Question: Do Unborn Babies Face Emotional Stress During Pregnancy ?
(Tue, 05 Jun 2007 10:29:09 GMT)
24 week fetus : Here is an interesting research article. London, England (LifeNews.com) -- New research conducted by doctors in England shows that unborn children can face emotional stress during a pregnancy as the baby's mother faces stress herself. Pro-life advocates say the study has implications for abortion as society learns more about the amazing development of children before birth. The British Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists released the results of the study on Thursday and says tha

24 week fetus : OK heres my situation. My husband and I had unprotected sex way close to my fertile time.I was really worried and we were not ready to be pregnant so I took Plan B within 24 hours of unprotected sex. - Resolved Question: Question for pro-choice advocates (abortion)?
(Wed, 21 Mar 2007 03:45:48 GMT)
24 week fetus : Okay, tell me this...for those of you who believe it's a mother's choice...what is the difference between aborting 24 week fetus that is deformed and killing a severely mentally retarded child after that child is born? Both would have the same impact on a mother? Why do you feel it's okay to abort an unborn baby, but not destroy a child? Partial birth abortions allow abortions much later than most abortions.
- Resolved Question: when did I concieve?
(Sun, 11 Mar 2007 19:22:00 GMT)
24 week fetus : I am now 11 weeks pregnant, due to cramps and spotting I had a scan just over a week ago which confirmed that I was 9 weeks and 4 days pregnant. the reason I am so puzzled is because My period was due 24/12/06 but according to the scan I concieved 25 or 26/12/06, I actually had a period 27/12/06 which appeared to be normal. My period before that was 26/11/06 I have a normal 28 day cycle, so I should of ovulated around 10/12/06. This is why I am so confused, is it possible that the measurement
- Resolved Question: Why do people in here lie about abortion?
(Wed, 07 Mar 2007 21:40:05 GMT)
24 week fetus : Seriously, people in here have been scaring askers into thinking all abortions are scissor-stabbing "partial birth" procedures and/or saline injections. Fact is, PBA is a procedure reserved for emergency situations (like to save the mother's life or if the fetus has died) and saline injections are illegal. Also, no elective (read: chosen) abortions are performed after 24 weeks, where the fetus can survive outside the woman's body. I also see people in here citing obvious propaganda and bias
- Resolved Question: Nifedipine For Preterm Labor - Talking to my doc about the risks?
(Mon, 05 Mar 2007 05:06:54 GMT)
24 week fetus : Here are some things I read: Why it is used- Labor needs to be delayed for 24 to 48 hours. This is typically necessary with corticosteroid treatment to help fetal lungs mature. Sometimes labor is delayed so the mother can be moved to a hospital with special facilities for treating premature infants. (I have been on it for a month and a half) Side effects- Low blood pressure and a possible decrease in the blood supply to the fetus. Nifedipine has fewer severe side effects than ritodrine, but it
- Resolved Question: why do people get abortions?
(Fri, 23 Feb 2007 23:36:41 GMT)
24 week fetus : me personally i think it is really harsh to take a life from someone who didnt ask to be here in most cases. all the selfish people did get one check out this sibbyonline.blogs.com/.../abortion2201.jpeg them doctor dont care about you or your baby the site i just gave is a 24 weeks fetus being aborted it brought tears to my eyes i hate them doctors who did it and i hate the people who think abortion is the only way out
- Resolved Question: Debate on BC's Sextuplets?
(Sat, 17 Feb 2007 22:08:14 GMT)
24 week fetus : As a mother who lost a 24 weeker, I am outraged that the parents of the remaining sextuples would even question the need for blood transfusions. My son lived 75 days and required at least 10 transfusions alone. I would have done anything to keep him here. There were many options given to these parents prior to delivery. They could have given all of their children a better chance if they had decreased the number of fetus(s) back in the early weeks. It was not out of thier religious confines t
- Resolved Question: I am 22 weeks and 4 days pregnant. but on obstetric scan fetus shows a growth of 24 weeks and 2 days.?

- Resolved Question: Do you agree with abortion?
(Sun, 24 Dec 2006 00:11:21 GMT)
24 week fetus : I am pro-choice. When I hear debates on the issue, for me, there is no changing my mind, and no turning my thoughts. My opinion will never even budge. What the Christians' call evidence, or nearly any prop-lifer Christian, for that matter, calls evidence, is themselves reading verses from the bible. How is this evidence, again? It isn't. However, I have eveidence. Many pro-choicers do. Medical facts. Like these: The fetus is not a human, just a mass of tissue, let alone the fact that, not only
- Resolved Question: My period is 3wks late but I've taken about 4 preg. tests & all were neg. Has anyone had a similar situation?
(Thu, 14 Dec 2006 20:27:02 GMT)
24 week fetus : I'm 24 years old and have 1 daughter that will be 3 on Dec. 23. I conceived last Dec. but miscarried @ 8 wks.(the fetus stopped dev. and reabsorbed) in Jan. I had a d&c done and was told I could start trying in April, so I did. I've been having my period every month but now I'm 3 weeks late. I've taken about 4 preg. tests in those 3 wks. and they all say neg. Has anyone had a similar situation? If so, did you go to dr. for preg. test and what happened? I'm not stressed nor have I been doing a
- Resolved Question: is it normal for my fetus to be active in the day and sleeps @ night?
(Thu, 16 Nov 2006 16:47:44 GMT)
24 week fetus : I am 24 weeks today and I notice that my baby is up with me in the daytime and @ night, he goes to sleep. He moves sometimes @ night but not like rumble around in the uterus like he's hyper.
- Resolved Question: Abortion............when should we limit it?
(Mon, 13 Nov 2006 18:05:26 GMT)
24 week fetus : Where I live there is no criminal law limiting abortion at any point during a pregnancy. You will probably not find a clinic, doctor or hospital willing to do one after a certain time but abortion at any point of the pregnancy is not a criminal offence. (quite accessable until around 24 wks) They are paid for by the government no matter the cost--late term abortions are more expensive. Babies born at 24 weeks can survive with care. (I know of a couple of those one is now a healthy 14 yrs old.)
- Resolved Question: Did any of you suffer from morning sickness more with either a boy fetus or a girl?
(Mon, 13 Nov 2006 15:09:31 GMT)
24 week fetus : I have 2 little boys and experienced very little morning sickness (or pregnancy symptoms at ALL!) with both of them. I am now pregnant again and have been nauseaous 24/7 for the last 5 weeks (I'm 12 weeks along.). I have a whole slew of other pregnancy issues this time as well, including excess saliva, fatigue and asthma. I'm wondering if maybe I'm having a girl and if any one else experienced a huge difference between previous pregnancies that turned out to be a baby of the other sex. Than
- Resolved Question: Fellow Christians, When should murderers/rapists... receive their capital punishment?
(Thu, 07 Sep 2006 23:43:37 GMT)
24 week fetus : How about the Moms/Dads that kill their 24-27 week old fetus?
- Resolved Question: OK fellow atheists: UP until what point is it alright to kill a human "fetus"?
(Thu, 07 Sep 2006 23:37:42 GMT)
24 week fetus : The going legal preference is about 24-27 weeks.. Is it at all disturbing that there is clinical proof that the human fetus experiences pain at around the 20 week mark? This could be a conservative guess, but who knows, would you err on the safe side, give a human infant the benefit of the doubt? How would this information effect your opinion on when a fetus gets rights as a living creature (since animals in general also get rights) if it is able to experience the pain of it's own death?
- Resolved Question: Exactly how is an abortion done after 24 weeks?
(Mon, 10 Jul 2006 13:20:28 GMT)
24 week fetus : How exactly does the fetus die? I'm just asking because they just conducted a new study of brain waves of premees at 24 weeks or older and it said conclusively that they experience pain. http://www.slate.com/id/2139169/
- Resolved Question: Why do I have two placenta's, but only one fetus?
(Mon, 19 Jun 2006 17:30:43 GMT)
24 week fetus : I recently had an ultrasound done. I am 24 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child. I was told that I have two fully intact placenta's but only one fetus. The sonography lady said that it was common, and as long as it was delivered with the other placenta, it would be alright. I can't find anything online explaining if there is any dangers in having two placentas. If anyone knows, please inform me. Thanks

- Resolved Question: Is there anything wrong with my fetus?
(Mon, 24 Apr 2006 21:32:18 GMT)
24 week fetus : I am having these waves of pain. not bad pain, but noticeable. they were going on for about 3 days or so. throughout the day, like every three four hours or so. No blood just feels like JUMBO PMS! its not on one side or anything its in the middle of my lower abdomen. is this normal? i am 5 weeks pregnant, with a due date of December 24 2006. (Christmas baby)
