I do not understand how this can be. Gestation is 40 weeks. I know that pregnancy lasts more like 10 months than nine, but that is because we count from last start of period and not from conception date. So, if I am six months pregnant April 1, that me

(Thu, 27 Mar 2008 22:34:13 GMT)
40 weeks pregnancy : I had an appointment yesterday and nothing is happening with my cervix yet, I'm not thinning, I'm not soft, nothing. So if nothing happens before Sunday night, I have to go to the hospital and be admitted to be given some drugs that will 'ripen' my cervix, then once my cervix is ready, they'll induce labor on Monday. However, I have a very narrow pelvis and my doctor isn't confident that I'll be able to deliver naturally, so he said once I'm induced, they'll look for a certain labor pattern

40 weeks pregnancy : When I found out I was pregnant I looked up a pregnancy calculator on the internet where you type in when your last period was and it gives you a due date.
