40weeks pregnant : om 40weeks pregnant and within the last sort of 6hours my hip has been killing me it feels as though someone has a tiny hammer and keeps wacking it,no matter how i sit or lye it continues to hurt..ive been told that the baby is very low down and in the correct position for labour...could this be a sign that labour may start soon?

40weeks pregnant : I had to have a scan at 36weeks pregnant and my baby had an EFW of 2828.0g, which I think is something like 6lb3oz, on the day (I was exactly 36weeks). Going by the average weight gain a baby should make between 36weeks and 40weeks (I dont actually know how much that is and would be quite interested to know if anyone can tell me), how much should my baby weigh providing he is born on his due date.

Everyone says to smell it to see if it's "sweet" smelling - however my nose is plugged and I can't smell anything at all.
