- Resolved Question: Almost 40 weeks pregnant - Do I ever need to worry about increased fetal movement?
(Wed, 05 Mar 2008 21:48:38 GMT)
Almost 40 weeks pregnant : I know that fetal movement is a good sign, but every day for the last 5 days or so my baby has been having bouts of intense activity. In fact, she is most definitely moving more now than throughout the entire pregnancy, even though the movements are supposed to slow down at this time. It seems funny worrying because I'm so used to doing kick counts to make sure she's moving enough, now it's so much that it's almost annoying! I am 1cm dilated/80%effaced/engaged. I do, in fact, mean INCREAS

(Sat, 01 Mar 2008 23:00:34 GMT)
Almost 40 weeks pregnant : I'm almost 42 weeks pregnant! I have an appointment to be induced on wednesday and I really don't want that - I want to go into labour naturally. However, when I saw my midwife at 40 weeks, she said the head was engaged 3/5. My mum keeps saying that my baby is 'too high' and that it hasn't 'dropped' yet and so it doesn't look as if I will go into labour soon. Is this true? I really hoped I would and I have been doing so much walking already today to try and get my baby to 'drop', and now my fe
