- Resolved Question: I'm 29 weeks pregnant & 1/2 dilated??
(Thu, 13 Mar 2008 06:18:31 GMT)
Dilated at 29 weeks pregnant : I'm 29 weeks pregnant. I'm really nervous because the baby's head has dropped, My cervix has thinned (Not for sure how much), And I'm 1/2 centimeter dilated. Does anybody know how long they can hold off the labor so I don't deliver early? Or does anybody have any suggestions how much longer you think I may have, before having him? I know every woman is different but suggestions help. Thanks
- Voting Question: I'm 33 weeks pregnant and I had a car wreak on 3/03?
(Fri, 07 Mar 2008 11:15:03 GMT)
Dilated at 29 weeks pregnant : I was in a head on collision Monday. I spent the night at the hospital, and was released the next day. I only had minor injuries and the baby's fine. While I was there I dilated to a 1, but that was it. Tonight I have been having more BH contractions than I normally have. They're not regular, but in the past hour I had them at 4:10, 4:29, 4:45, 5:04. I'm having more lower back pain than I was having. I feel the pressure of the baby more. I'm having stomach cramps like I need to go to the bath
- Resolved Question: 39.5 weeks & doesn't look like baby will drop on his own-question about waiting until 40.5 weeks have baby?
(Thu, 28 Feb 2008 12:51:47 GMT)
Dilated at 29 weeks pregnant : I'm 39.5 weeks pregnant. Baby hasn't dropped, my cervix is still posterior & not dilated, still have my mucus plug. Doctor has feeling baby will be over 8.5 lbs or my pelvis is too small for baby to drop & deliver easily. I'm going for an ultrasound/Biophysical Profile/NST today to verify size, dates & all the other stuff involved in the testing. Doctor said that we'll know today all the info & if the baby is too large or can't drop I should have a C-Section. I could go in for the C-Secti
- Resolved Question: frustrated with doctor not caring!?
(Wed, 19 Dec 2007 23:06:43 GMT)
Dilated at 29 weeks pregnant : hi! I am almost 29 weeks pregnant. When i was at the doctor two weeks ago she said that our babys head is engaged and everything seems great. Today at my appointment i saw a different doctor who wouldnt listen to my worries at all.For the past 1 1/2 or 2 weeks I have been having sharp pains in my lower pelvic area(it feels like the sort of sharp pain you get when you get a pap smear and it feels like the same spot too!) and ive had a ton more discharge than normal. I was worried about possibly
- Resolved Question: To those who have experience preterm labor & have more than one child...?
(Mon, 10 Dec 2007 17:08:26 GMT)
Dilated at 29 weeks pregnant : On Wednesday I will be 29 weeks pregnant with number 2. During my 1st pregnancy, I was put on bed rest at 29 or 30 weeks after loosing my mucous plug and my doctor realized I was dilated to 1cm. While on bed rest I was diagnosed w/ severe preeclampsia & had to be induced @ 36 weeks exactly. When I went in to be induced I was only dilated to 2-3 cm so I didn't dilated much in those 6-7 weeks that I was on bed rest. Is the chance of this happening again, this time, about the same, higher, or

Dilated at 29 weeks pregnant : I'm 36 weeks pregnant, and have been 75% effaced since I was 29 weeks along, and now I'm 3cm dilated. Does that give any indication of how long it will be until I deliver? anyone???????? Also, I already lost my mucous plug about 2 weeks ago.
- Resolved Question: When should the baby move into position during a 3rd pregnancy?
(Sat, 13 Oct 2007 16:27:43 GMT)
Dilated at 29 weeks pregnant : I am 29 weeks pregnant with #3. And I know he has been head down for about a month now, due to ultrasounds. But his head was not in the birth canal, it was to the side of it. But Starting yesterday, I have been having pains down there and I feel like some one had kicked the crap out on me there. It is very sore and my thighs are sore aswell as the bones in my butt cheeks. Does it sound like his head has moved into the canal? IS it a little early for that? Should I be concerned and let my doctor
- Resolved Question: I am 29 weeks pregnant and was told my cervix was shortening?
(Mon, 23 Jul 2007 19:44:02 GMT)
Dilated at 29 weeks pregnant : I went to the doctor for my normal checkup and they told me that my cervix was about 1 cm dilated. They kept me overnight and put me on some drugs along with some steroids for my babys lungs to develop sooner in case of early delivery. Has anyone had this and been able to carry until full term?
- Resolved Question: If you go to the ER for a false labor does it cost as much as going to the ER for something else?
(Sat, 07 Jul 2007 06:40:48 GMT)
Dilated at 29 weeks pregnant : I'm 39w6d pregnant (and due in less than 1 hr. california time :) I went to the ER on Monday because I thought I was leaking amniotic fluid (I'm just overly paranoid because my water got a tear at 29 weeks from a car accident) but they said this time there was NO leak. and at that point I was only 1cm dilated .. well, ever since that appt. I've been having cramps off and on (minor contractions .. and very sporatic, nothing worth timing). But now .. I'm afraid that I'm going to think I'm in l
- Resolved Question: I'm 34 weeks pregnant, having pains in my back, stomach, and vaginal area - what should i do?
(Mon, 25 Jun 2007 01:18:55 GMT)
Dilated at 29 weeks pregnant : I've went into preterm labor 3 times starting around 28-29 weeks. The first time it wasnt so bad just hydrated me, and gave me two betamethasone shots, the second time I was given IV meds to stop contractions and given two more steroid shots, the third time I was given mag sulfate, put in the hospital for 10 days, and sent home taking procardia. All the times they told me I was having contractions I couldnt feel them except the last time which I wasnt feeling them until they started the med.,
- Resolved Question: Soft cervix?
(Tue, 19 Jun 2007 17:13:39 GMT)
Dilated at 29 weeks pregnant : I am currently 29 weeks pregnant with twins. I went to the doctor yesterday and he did a cervical exam and stated that my cervix is soft. He is a little concerned but said that he will keep a close eye on it to make sure I don't start dilating (I see him twice a week now). My questions are has this happened to anyone else? If so, how long was it before you went into labor? Does this definitely mean I will deliver early? I do know that I will deliver early because of twins. I'm just conce
- Resolved Question: I'm dilating early, is it ok?
(Sat, 14 Apr 2007 16:21:27 GMT)
Dilated at 29 weeks pregnant : Hi, I'm 29 weeks pregnant and already dilated, they said a fingertip (less than 1). I have to go in next week and make sure it's not more. It's really early to dilate at all. With my first child I wasn't at 1 until 2 weeks before I had her, and my water broke at 3. Anyone had or heard of a similar situation? Is it because it's my second? Maybe someone can help ease my nerves. Thanks! They checked me so early, because I was exaimened after some bleeding with intercourse. All checked out well th
- Resolved Question: when to call the doctor?
(Thu, 15 Feb 2007 14:44:58 GMT)
Dilated at 29 weeks pregnant : I think that I lost some of my mucous plug last night. Sorry for TMI but it looked like chunks of clear snot, or like clear jelly. It was in pieces. Do you normally call the doctor for losing some of the plug or is this normal? I am 29 weeks pregnant and already dilated 2 and 50% effaced.
- Resolved Question: What does it feel like when you start dilating, but you're not in labor yet?
(Mon, 04 Dec 2006 23:40:17 GMT)
Dilated at 29 weeks pregnant : This is a clarification of a previous question I had. I'm 29 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child. I have the normal pain in my ligaments around the pelvis, that I'm not so concerned about, although it is frustrating. My concern is the pain that is more around where my cervix would be. I've been unable to get in to see my doctor because of a massive snow storm that hit, and i'm concerned that I might be dilating early. Anyone know what kind of pain I'm talking about? It's hard to walk because it h
